Mosman Collective, which owns the pool, has argued that the additional funding was unjustified, as the pool’s original design was still fit for purpose.

The City of Sydney is working with local community groups to develop a new plan for the site, which includes reopening the pool and introducing a family-friendly centre. However, the final decision will be made by council, which may need to approve additional funding from the state government.
