The HK Prize – A New Initiative to Recognise the Important Work of Changemakers in Hong Kong
The hk prize is a new initiative to recognise the important work of changemakers in Hong Kong, and to support them in their efforts to make our world a better place. The Prize has a prize fund of HK$40 million, half of which is an unrestricted project fund to help laureates scale their work and achieve greater impact. The rest of the prize fund will be awarded as awards to individual finalists and their organisations.
The HK Prize is being launched by Generocity, together with the Hong Kong Economic Development Council and the Asia Society. It aims to gather innovative ideas on how Hong Kong can promote global development and shape its role in the world. The HK Prize is open to individuals and groups from all sectors.
Prize money payouts in golf
This week’s LINK Hong Kong Kong Open at the Hong Kong Country Club will feature an elevated prize money payout of $2m. That is significantly higher than the amount on offer at the Puerto Rico Open on the PGA Tour or the Jonsson Workwear Open on the European PGA Tour.
In addition, the winner of the LINK Hong Kong Kong Open will be eligible for a coveted Asian Tour card. This will be a significant boost for the winner and runner-up, and it is likely to attract some big name players.
Increasing the prize money payout in racing
In an effort to encourage Owners to invest more resources in the BMW Hong Kong Derby and the four-year-old Classic Series, the Hong Kong Kodex has increased the overall prize-money pool by 10% for all 88 races next season. It will also lift prize money for Class 1 and Class 2 contests. The prize-money payout for races ranging from 1000m to 1400m will rise by 10%, while the amount of money paid out for contests between 1600m and 2400m will increase by 20.6%.
Kazakhstan Olympians to receive bonus payments
Kazakh Olympic athletes will be given bonus payments in accordance with their medal achievements. The bonuses will be HK$6 million for gold medallists, HK$3 million for silver medallists and HK$1.5 million for bronze medallists. This is a major increase over the previous year, when Kazakh athletes only received HK$1.2 million for gold medals and HK$500,000 for bronze medals.
Mark Six prizes
The unit investment for each Mark Six Entry is $10 with several types of entries available, including Multiple & Banker. For the Multi-Entry, a partial unit investment of $5 is also accepted. The winner will receive a prize based on the fraction of the total unit investment that is assigned to the selected number(s). If no winner is found, the prize money will be added to a jackpot (Duo Bao Jiang ) in the next draw. The jackpot can reach HK$100 million, a huge increase over the normal 1st division winnings of HK$8 million. This can be won by selecting any one of the six numbers from 1 to 49.
